1,000 + Red Worm Cocoons (Eisenia Fetida)

Red Worms are the easiest high density vermicomposting worm to raise. They can tolerate a wide range of environmental conditions and flucuations.

On average, each cocoon will hatch 3 Red Worms. Emergence from the cocoons take 30 - 75 days with 80% of the eggs actually hatching.

A successful hatch depends on proper environmental conditions. Correct ambient air temperature, along with sufficient humidity should be maintained at all times. To maximize your cocoon hatch rates, we recommend placing your cocoons in an environment with ambient air temps around 80F and 80% humidity. This can be done easily and inexpensively using a flourescent light bulb for heat, or if available, a Hova Incubator.
